This recipe is a mishmash of the dozen or so I read while browsing the foodporn sites for something to do with the figs I bought on impulse the other day. It”s incredibly simple but incredibly tasty!
Serves 4
Ingredients
4 large ripe figs
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp vanilla paste
vanilla ice cream for serving
Directions
Preheat oven to 200°C.
Halve the figs from top to bottom and place cut side up in a baking dish in a single layer.
Melt the butter, honey and vanilla paste together in a small saucepan. Drizzle over figs.
Roast for about 10 minutes.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
